Fatherhood isn’t Reality TV

When I was younger, I thought… “If I ever have kids, I wanna be just like Cliff Huxtable from The Cosby Show

Somewhere along the line, I think I became more like Fred Sanford (or Al Bundy).

I’m working on making my way back to at least a Bernie Mac kinda dad, and one day maybe I’ll reach Obama status (not politically speaking, just parentically speaking :)

I know your bro is struggling…please give him my regards…and tell him that me and mine STILL speak of him often and miss him…

Also tell him Mina is a Doctor….and Jay Miller always asks about him..

As for fatherhood….rather than look at actor fathers who had positive family shows….look for fathers that raised positive, healthy children. (like Run of DMC)…Although I suppose we can look at positive “kids raised public”…I believe Huge Laurie(they actor portraying “Dr. House”) was the son of the Austrailian Prime Minister.

I suppose we always must remember that the proof is not IN the pudding, but in the EATING of it…Parenting is seldom about the pudding…
